We are in the process of migrating our club website and management software to a single site. It is called Club Spark and it is used by Tennis Canada and many tennis clubs around the world. There will be a learning curve for everyone but Club Spark gives us a web presence, membership and program sign-ups, court booking, and lesson booking all in one web location.
Our season starts officially on May 1 but as weather permits the courts will open sometime in April. Your 2024 membership does not expire until May 1, meaning that open play is available when the nets are up until May 1.
St. Albert Tennis Club is now on Facebook, click: SATC Facebook
Guest Fee
Members are encouraged to bring guests to play during Club times. A daily fee simplifies the guest issues and respects that members have paid a fee for seasonal use of the courts. Members are accountable for their guest(s) behaviour and are responsible for opening and locking the courts.
Before the guest plays, they must pay a daily fee of $10.00 via an email transfer to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.; no password needed
No other methods of payment are accepted and guests may not play in club tournaments.
Calendar - Check the calendar below to see when your group program is scheduled or to see when courts are open for drop-in play. Note: If our court booking and guest registration system is operational (May 1, we hope) that will be the best source for finding open playing times.
I.D. Tags (new for 2024)
A reminder to members, you are required to display our new bag tag for proof of membership. Tags will be available at clubhouse events in early May (Open House). If you do not have yours after the season starts, send an email to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Webcam
The Court Webcam site should be working, but your browser, security software or operating system may be blocking the site. A fix for PCs using Chrome or Microsoft Edge is to click the lock icon which is just left of the URL on the Webcam site then click "site permissions", then "insecure content" and change the status from "block" to "allow". Let us know at our email address This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you cannot access the club Webcam.
Leaf Blower
The leaf blower is available to clean off the courts. It is located by the equipment doorway (front west) in the clubhouse. Remember to return the blower after use and place the used battery (it has two of them) in the recharger.
About Us
Lifetime honourary member, Gord Olsson, has produced a Club History. He wrote this to coincide with the 60th anniversary of the club in 2021. If you would like to read a pdf version of the book, it can be found here: ST ALBERT TENNIS CLUB 1961-2021 .
From the Preface to the book:
"This didn’t start out to be a St Albert Tennis Club history. I had been taking pictures of Club events for
around 20 years. Pictures sitting in a file on my computer were of no use to anyone. So, in 2020, I
decided to compile a short photo-book containing stories of Club members and memorable events
illustrated by the pictures. Grant Jerace and Stephen Bouska suggested expanding it to be a complete
Club history and interviewing some longstanding Club members. The timing was right - Covid isolation
gave me lots of spare time to work on the project."
